Our Process We base our success and our service as wealth advisors on our highly diversified and disciplined methodology. At Private Asset Management we believe broad diversification of a portfolio brings our clients two positive results: First, it spreads risk over several different types of investments so no one investment can cause substantial harm to the portfolio. Second, since all segments of the world economy move at different rates at different times, portfolios that are broadly diversified are best positioned to benefit by the highest number of uptrends.
Our portfolio diversification criteria span seven major asset classes with four equity sub classes, utilizing both value and growth styles where applicable to eliminate a “lockstep” factor. Some of our proprietary products recommendations have been uniquely developed and have greatly contributed to our success and that of our clients over the years, setting us apart in our field. All of our equity managers are screened by our proprietary quantitative and qualitative filters. The quantitative filters eliminate over 90% of potential managers and those remaining are further screened by our qualitative filters. From the resulting selection, we carefully choose managers to match individual clients’ objectives and parameters. No decisions are made arbitrarily or en masse.
Private Asset Management’s time-tested and proven process is designed to weather all types of markets but always with each client’s risk parameters, tax efficiencies, cash flow needs and investment comfort levels in mind. Our clients receive customized investment policies based on their specific objectives and expectations determined at the outset of our relationship. This document becomes the portfolio business plan against which all investment decisions and recommendations are developed and measured.
Many of our clients are business owners and retired business owners whose success is based on making their own decisions. We put our clients in complete control of their portfolios at all times. As wealth advisors we make recommendations and act upon them only after client approval. Private Asset Management does not hold or act as custodian for any client assets. For that purpose we use Fidelity IBG. Once a portfolio has been structured and implemented, frequent client meetings are held to evaluate, continuously monitor and, if necessary, rebalance the portfolio.
