Michael L. Thayer, Principal
Mike founded Private Asset Management in 1996. His vision was to create a high quality cutting edge investment management company truly responsive to client needs. A seasoned professional, he has 25 years in the investment business.

Mike is involved in all aspects of the firm. He interfaces directly with existing and prospective clients, is actively involved in finding and evaluating real estate investments, and assists in selecting investment managers. His close attention to the business allows Mike to stay true to his vision of creating a high quality cutting edge investment management company truly responsive to its clients’ needs.

Mike holds a B.A. in Finance and a Minor in Economics from Seattle University.



Todd Ingram, Principal
Todd has founded, collaborated or invested in numerous successful Northwest companies prior to his involvement with Private Asset Management. He served as a founding principal for Meridian Capital Partners, L.L.C., a Seattle-based investment banking firm [formerly Olympic Capital Partners]. He also founded and served as President of NCF Financial, Inc., a Seattle-based computer equipment leasing company. Under his leadership NCF became one of the primary leasing companies in the western United States.

In addition to serving Private Asset Management’s clients, Todd evaluates real estate investments for the firm. The breadth and depth of his long successful business career benefit both clients and the firm’s management.

Todd attended the University of Washington.



Richard D. Meagley, CFA
Prior to joining Private Asset Management Rich was a Vice President and portfolio manager for Safeco Corporation where he managed portfolios with over $1 billion in assets. During his 20 plus year career at Safeco, he oversaw and directed mutual funds and corporate portfolios, provided analytical expertise across multiple industries, and worked directly with clients and industry trade organizations.

At Private Asset Management Rich helps clients develop the investment strategy that is best for each individual and guides them to stay on track for the long term. He also aids in the analysis of investment managers and potential real estate transactions.

Rich holds an M.B.A. from the University of Washington and a B.A. in economics from Wake Forest University. He is a member of the CFA Institute and has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation.



Scott Dowling
Scott brings over 20 years of experience in the investment field to Private Asset Management. Before joining Private Asset, he was founder and president of Dowling Investment Group which specialized in the alternative investment field. Scott also has experience in real estate investing and private party lending. Scott started his career in public accounting with Arthur Andersen & Co.

At Private Asset Management, Scott will focus on expanding our financial advisory capabilities, evaluating potential real estate investments and the general management of the firm.

Scott holds a B.S. in business with a major in accounting from the University of Montana. He earned his CPA certification in 1981.



Bruce Kramer
Prior to joining Private Asset Management, Bruce had a distinguished forty-year career in the investment business. He started with Merrill Lynch. Through the years and industry consolidation, Bruce moved through managerial ranks with several firms. In 1986 the Seattle E.F. Hutton office, where he served as branch manager, was named the Outstanding Office of the Year for the Western Region. While at Shearson Lehman Hutton and again at Prudential Securities he was an active member of the firms' branch advisory councils. He finished his brokerage career as Regional President of Wachovia Securities.

Bruce focuses on expanding our financial advisory capabilities and assists in evaluating real estate investments.

Bruce holds a B.A. in business finance from the University of Washington. He participated in the 1964 Rose Bowl and was a member of the Theta Chi Fraternity.



Sheila A. Jacobson
Sheila joined Private Asset Management after spending more than 20 years at an institutional investment management firm. There she supported the fixed income trading desk, communicating with Wall Street traders and custodian banks, plus maintained portfolio holdings, security yields and spreads and duration calculations. She also supported four equity portfolio managers.

Sheila’s focus at Private Asset Management is working with clients to ensure they receive the service level they deserve. Her responsibilities include processing trades, transferring funds, preparing client reports and doing special projects.
